Roofing Insurance Claim Assistance
in Frisco & North Texas

From documenting hail and wind damage to meeting your adjuster and completing repairs, Nortex USA helps you understand each step.

Before you contact your insurer

Have your information ready.

Your policy

Have your policy number, insured property address and current contact information available.

The damage

Gather the date of the loss, a factual description and photos taken safely from the ground. Keep receipts for temporary repairs.

Your next step

Ask your insurer about reporting deadlines, your deductible and the documents they need. Save your claim number and adjuster’s contact details.

A clear path forward

Know What Happens When You File.

You do not need to diagnose every roofing issue before reporting damage. Describe what happened, share the facts you know, and keep your claim details together. Nortex helps with the roof inspection and repair documentation along the way.

01 · Report the Damage

Use your insurer’s official claims resource below or contact your agent. Have your policy number, property address, date of loss if known, and a factual description ready. Ask about reporting deadlines and save your claim number.

02 · Coordinate the Visit

Your insurer arranges its inspection. Share the appointment with Nortex so we can coordinate attendance, point out observed damage, and answer questions about our proposed repairs.

03 · Review the Next Step

Your insurer reviews the claim and explains its decision. We help you understand our repair scope, compare it with the documented property condition, and plan the construction work.

Unsure whether you have storm damage? Start with an inspection of visible, safely accessible areas. Ask your insurer or agent about your deductible and policy terms; avoid delaying a report past your policy’s deadline.

Professional Supplement Team

A Thorough Repair Scope. Clear Supporting Details.

An initial insurance estimate may not include every repair item identified during inspection or construction. Nortex’s dedicated supplement team reviews the repair scope and prepares supporting documentation when necessary work is missing or additional damage is found.

Review the Scope

We compare the insurer’s repair estimate with our measurements, observed damage, and proposed work to identify specific repair items that need clarification.

Document the Details

We prepare photos, measurements, itemized repair estimates, and relevant installation requirements to explain why the additional work is needed.

Clarify the Repairs

We provide supplemental repair information for the insurer’s review and answer technical questions about our estimate. You receive a clear explanation of the work we propose.

What is a supplement? It is additional repair documentation or a revised contractor estimate submitted for review when the original scope needs clarification or additional necessary work is documented. It does not automatically mean additional payment.

Your insurance company determines coverage, claim approval, and payment. Nortex provides inspection documentation, repair estimates, and construction services; we do not act as your public adjuster or negotiate claim settlements. Your deductible remains your responsibility.

Mortgage-Held Insurance Funds

Is Your Mortgage Company
Holding Your Insurance Funds?

Your insurance check may include your mortgage company’s name. The servicer may release repair funds in stages and request paperwork or progress inspections. Nortex USA can help prepare the repair documentation needed to move your project forward.

Repair Paperwork

We provide our repair estimate, signed contract, and contractor information requested by your servicer.

Progress Documentation

We document our work with photos and invoices and help coordinate access for lender-required inspections.

Completion Records

We provide final repair photos and completion paperwork to support your request for remaining funds.

Can Nortex USA help if my mortgage company is holding my insurance check?

Yes. We can help with the repair side of the process by providing estimates, contractor information, progress photos, invoices, and completion records for our work. Ask your mortgage servicer’s loss-draft department for its required documents and fund-release schedule. Release requirements and timing vary; your servicer controls approval and payment.

HOMEOWNER QUESTIONS

Insurance Claims Questions

Do I have to know exactly what needs repair before I report damage?

No. Report what happened and the damage you have observed, using the facts you know. Nortex can inspect visible, safely accessible areas and provide photos and a proposed repair scope. Your insurer decides whether the loss is covered. Ask your insurer about reporting deadlines and any information it needs.

Who files my claim and decides whether it is approved?

You report the claim to your insurer or agent, and your insurance company decides coverage and payment. Nortex supports the construction side with damage documentation, repair estimates, adjuster-visit coordination, and technical explanations of our proposed work.

Will a supplement guarantee that my insurer pays more?

No. A supplement provides additional repair information for review. Our team documents necessary work and explains our estimate; the insurer decides what it covers and pays under your policy.

What if my insurance estimate leaves out necessary repairs?

Nortex USA has a dedicated supplement team that reviews repair scopes and prepares supplemental estimates when necessary work is missing or additional damage is documented. Our team provides photos, measurements, and supporting repair details for the insurer’s review and answers technical questions about the proposed work. Your insurance company determines coverage and payment.

Will a Storm Damage Claim Increase My Insurance Premium?

In Texas, your insurer cannot increase your premium based on a claim for weather-related damage, such as hail or wind. However, your premium can still change at renewal for other reasons, including broader rate increases, rebuilding costs, or changes to your coverage.

Before filing, review your deductible and policy terms with your insurance agent. Nortex USA can inspect your roof and document visible damage to help you understand the recommended repairs; your insurer determines coverage under your policy.
